andrew riley mba yarns sales executive

Andrew Riley

Sales Director

Andrew joined the company in 2007, having worked for 18 years for S.C.Yarns. Previously he worked for Coats Viyella in Worsted Spinning after starting his textile career at Stroud Riley Drummond in 1976. Andrew covers the UK Market and some export markets and on the supply side works closely with the Mills who manufacture the yarns both for the merchant business and as the agent for the mills we represent.

Sales Executive

Having worked in the Worsted Spinning Industry in Yorkshire for over 20 years, Charles joined SIL Holdings in 2002, and MBA in 2009. With over 30 years experience in the production and sales of yarns, Charles travels the world working on customer specific developments of new products as well as selling the established MBA product range.

Customer Services Administrator

Andrea has extensive experience in office administration and customer account management – she joined MBA in October 2011. Working alongside the Sales Executives she provides day to day support to all customers, ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly. Working with our purchasing team she is also responsible for the monitoring and subsequent delivery of clients’ orders from our central warehouse.

Carla Norfolk

Quality Control / Lab Technician

Having joined the MBA team in October 2011 as an NVQ Business and Administration apprentice, she has since completed her Level 3 Certificate as well as achieving a Level 3 Certificate in Textile Design and Manufacture. Carla works in our laboratory testing yarn, shade matching and preparing samples.

Steve joined MBA in 2004 and is responsible for order progression through picking, shipping and invoicing; working in daily close contact with our warehousing and transport company Alan Gee Transport.

He has vast experience in many forms of industry including print management, warehouse and distribution, sport, leisure, food and drink.

Mark Bamford

Purchasing and Export Sales Executive

Mark joined MBA in October 2012, having graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Geography. Mark mainly works on the purchasing side of MBA, working closely with suppliers across the globe. He also spends time selling, focusing mainly on the European markets as well as the UK.

marion bourne mba yarns lab technician

Marion Bourne

Quality Control / Lab Technician

Marion originally joined SIL Holdings in 2002. She has over 30 years of experience in laboratory work mainly within worsted spinning and cashmere. Marion moved into the lab as our lab technician in 2007 where today she is responsible for the testing of all luxury fibres that arrive in the lab; both externally sourced and from in-house production. She works alongside Carla and gives support across all quality control measures.
